Members of the Lancashire Safe Trader Scheme

The Safe Trader Scheme is operated by Lancashire County Council Trading Standards Service and its aim is to assist residents of Lancashire to find reputable traders for property repairs, home improvements, gardening services, mobility aids and other services around the home.

We are proud to have a 5* rating in all categories

Members of the Scheme must have:

  1. Demonstrated their commitment to trade honestly and fairly.
  2. Signed up to our Code of Practice
  3. Have been trading for a minimum of 12 months.
  4. Have Public Liability Insurance with a minimum of £2,000,000 cover.
  5. Have been subject to comprehensive checks and a visit from one of the team before being admitted onto the scheme.
  6. Agreed to work with Trading Standards to try to resolve any problems should they occur.

To carry out a search we would recommend that you:

  1. Read the our profile page to ensure we can carry out the work required.
  2. Check our star rating and reviews (these cover the previous 18-month period).
  3. Check the address as results are listed as the crow flies and are not driving distances.
  4. Obtain at least three quotes from three different traders.
  5. Get ALL information regarding the work to be carried out in writing.
